IVLIA AVGVSTA

IVLIA AVGVSTA
Silver denarius, Rome, c.10 December, 201 A.D.

Obv. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG; Caracalla, laur. and draped bust r.
Rev. IVLIA AVGVSTA; Julia Domna, bare-headed and draped bust r.

RIC —; BMCRE p.623, 507A; RSC (Caracalla and Julia) 1; Hill cf. 602
Note: RSC describes this coin as doubtful, but neither BMCRE or the B.M. website appear to accept it as genuine.  RSC 1a = Hill 602 cites this piece with Julia as the obverse and Caracalla as the reverse, but I have followed the arrangement attested by the B.M.
