Note: The title of the reverse, praefectus classis et orae maritimae (Commander-in-Chief of the Fleet and of the Sea Coasts)
, was granted to Sextus by the Senate as they attempted to free themselves from the domination of the Caesarian party, but withing four months Octavian forced them to withdraw the appointment, and Sextus was proscribed.
