AETERNIT IMPERI

AETERNIT IMPERI
Gold aureus, Rome, 201 A.D.

Obv. IVLIA AVGVSTA; Julia Domna, bare-headed and draped bust r.
Rev. AETERNIT IMPERI; Severus, laur., draped and cuirassed bust on l., Caracalla, laur., draped and cuirassed bust on r., facing one another.

RIC (Severus) 539a corr.; BMCRE p.157, 1 note corr.; Cohen (Julia, Severus and Caracalla) 1; Calicó 2652; Hill 608 corr.
Notes:  Cohen, citing an ancien catalogue, describes busts rather than heads on the reverse, by this he indicates the presence of drapery or cuirass, or both.  Hill takes this to mean heads only, and therefore includes this piece in a later issue - an error.
